Java is widely used to build various applications, including web, mobile, desktop, games etc. It is known for its robust and scalable nature, making it a popular choice for enterprise applications.

Key Features of Java

  • Object-Oriented: Java is an object-oriented programming language, meaning it is built around objects and classes.

  • Platform-Independent: Java code is compiled to bytecode, which can run on any device with a Java Virtual Machine installed.

  • Polymorphism: Polymorphism is the ability of an object to take on multiple forms. In Java, this is achieved through method overloading and method overriding, which allow you to define various methods with the same name, each of which performs a different action.
